Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about our flooring services
Installation times vary depending on the type of flooring, room size, and condition of the subfloor. As a general guide, a standard room (15-20 sqm) typically takes 1 day for vinyl or laminate, 1-2 days for LVT, and 1 day for carpet. We'll provide a more accurate timeframe when we assess your specific project.
Yes, we provide free, no-obligation quotations for all our flooring services. We'll arrange a convenient time to visit your property, take measurements, assess the subfloor condition, and discuss your requirements. You'll receive a detailed written quote outlining all costs involved.
For kitchens and bathrooms, we typically recommend Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) or sheet vinyl flooring. These options are waterproof, durable, and easy to clean, making them ideal for areas prone to moisture. LVT also offers a wide range of design options that can mimic the look of natural materials like wood or stone.
Ideally, the room should be clear of furniture for installation. However, we understand this isn't always possible, especially with larger pieces. Our team can assist with moving standard furniture items within the same property. For larger items or if you have many pieces, we recommend arranging for these to be moved before our arrival to ensure the installation goes smoothly.
Each flooring type requires different maintenance. Generally, regular sweeping and occasional mopping with appropriate cleaners will keep most floors in good condition. We'll provide specific maintenance instructions for your chosen flooring upon completion of the installation. Additionally, we recommend using furniture pads to prevent scratches and implementing a no-shoes policy for certain flooring types.
